The new edition of the Eclisse lamp by Artemide represents Italian design in the world

6 February 2022

Artemide presents the new edition of the Eclisse lamp, originally designed by Vico Magistretti in 1965, and winner of the Compasso d’Oro in 1967. Eclisse is an avant-garde equilibrium between form and function, design and utility. The base of the concept is in its functionality in regulating the light’s intensity with the rotating internal lampshade that “eclipses” the light source.

In fact, with a fixed external casing and a mobile internal casing, the lamp can provide either direct or diffused light. Eclisse is part of the permanent collection in the most important design Museums, such as the MoMa in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. Representing Italian design in the world, the Eclisse will be available in the innovative and sustainable PVD technology finishing, in the new colors Black, Gold, Chrome and Copper.
