Suggestive lights for a private villa on Lake Garda

Francesconi Architectural Light illuminates the project of a private villa in Gargnano

In Gargnano, Italy, on the western shore of the Garda Lake, among mountains, hills and a delightfully mild climate, stands a summer house private villa with a swimming pool. The villa, recently refurbished, consists of a single structure. A two-storey building whose concept was to give a modern look to the typical architecture of the seventies. The contemporary finishes and the materials used do not distort the original features yet giving new life to the building and satisfying renewed aesthetic and housing needs.

The villa is seated in an exclusive landscape area, with a spectacular view of the lake framed by the high rocky peaks. The interior space dialogues through large windows internalizing the contact with nature, also emphasized by the large balcony creating an extension of the building towards the lake, so as the roof protrusions protecting those enjoying the beauty of the landscape.

At sunset, the suggestive lights by Francesconi Architectural Light perfectly illuminate the paths, the entrance areas and greenery, in harmony with the environment and emphasizing the surrounding beauties. The lighting project, entrusted to Arch. Ing. Matteo Sandrini of INGEGNERI PROGETTISTI E AFFINI SRL studio in Brescia, Italy, had the aim of enhancing not only the villa, but also the area around: “Francesconi Architectural Light luminaires because of their versatility: discreet but very elegant, they matched with the surrounding environment, greenery, and the lake. The lights allowed to create a perfect scenography for summer evenings, with a refined design to raise emotions. The viewer must not look at the light; light has to show the stage”.

Different luminaires from the BRICK collection illuminate the walls and entrance doors with BRICK applique in their ALL GLASS version (new in 2020) in two sizes (132 and 235 mm long) and BRICK bollard (new in 2020) with a height of 600mm for the walkways.

Further originality offered by the SPY collection: with this project the TREEHUGGER version enters the market. A projector that literally “embraces the trees” using a strap, perfect to be positioned and fastened to the branches to illuminate the foliage and creating lighting effects in specific spots. The floor recesses of the MINIROUND series complete the lighting of the green by focusing their light beam on the olive trees.
