From theory to practice or – put it another way – the incubator of talent proudly showcased at the store. That is the spirit of the partnership between SaloneSatellite and Rinascente, after which, from 5th October to 6th November, some of the most promising projects selected at the 2023 edition of the event in the Design Supermarket were on sale.
The collaboration between SaloneSatellite and Rinascente continues for the 9th year running in a bid to give space to and promote the most authentic expression of the skill and ability of 10 international design studios that distinguished themselves at the last edition of the event by their ecological mindfulness and awareness in design, along with a fascination of the rough, the incomplete, the apparently casual, the raw and the recycled.
Thus, at the Design Supermarket, were displayed and put on sale from 5th October to 6th November, 14 products chosen for the attention to materials and the environment, for the immediacy of their design and eclecticism. Experimentation, innovation, craftsmanship, sustainability and inclusion make up the common threads between these objects and furnishings, with their light ‒ often extremely light ‒ immediately striking design that simplifies and softens the forms and cuts down on material, in tune with increasingly keen environmental awareness.
Therefore, SaloneSatellite, the forge of talent and ideas, puts young people and their creative power at the forefront, allowing them to meet the structure, distribution and audience of the Milanese Department Store par excellence.
