NUBO, unveiled in preview at SICAM2024, offers an innovative perspective for glass shelf lighting by Domus Line. In 100% polycarbonate, this luminaire is designed to create a lighting effect that enhances not only the aesthetics of the furniture but also the functionality of the space. The collection consists of two models: NUBO-6 for installation on 6mm thick shelves and NUBO-8 for 8mm thick shelves. Both models can be configured with light projection on either the front or rear side, offering different lighting solutions to suit the needs of the furniture project.

NUBO is installed on the edge of transparent, frosted, or screen-printed glass shelves, adding a high level of versatility. NUBO-F (front), with radial diffusion on the shelf, creates an elegant, diffused lighting effect with frosted or satin glass, and highlights just the front edge with transparent glass. This feature is particularly noticeable in bookshelves and display cabinets, where the illuminated edge effect adds a touch of modernity and refinement. For those who desire a more pronounced effect, especially on frosted or satin shelves, NUBO-F also offers a slight diffusion of light across the surface, creating a captivating atmosphere and further enhancing the opacity of the glass.

Alternatively, NUBO-R (rear) is installed with the light source projecting towards the back of the cabinet, creating a striking wall-washer effect. The dual installation option allows each project to be customised and the selection of the lighting type that best suits the aesthetic and functional needs. A distinctive feature of NUBO is its four-sided opal light chamber, which ensures even light distribution, providing an immersive yet soothing effect. The product is available with single-colour and dual-colour D-Motion light sources, which allow the user to adjust or select the colour shade.
