Once again Starhotel has chosen Bronzetto’s team, for the restyling of the Helvetia & Bristol in Florence, a pearl of The Leading Hotels of the World

The Helvetia & Bristol became part of the selected group of Starhotels in 2016 and was born in the early 19th century as a private residence in the heart of the city. Transformed into a hotel in 1885, it becomes one of the favorite stops on the Grand Tour, a journey of noble English offspring who in the 18th century used to set out to discover the fashions of Paris and Italian cities and archaeological treasures. The 25 new rooms and suites housed in the new “Bristol” wing are the result of the work of the designer Anouska Hempel, who has given life, thanks to the indications and a continuous comparison with the direction of Starhotel, Elisabetta Fabri, to an unprecedented, surprising and intriguing hotel with a reference to the enveloping atmospheres of the “Great Beauty” which has always been a source of inspiration for the all-Italian hospitality signed by Starhotels. The entire project expresses the authentic soul of the city and the “sense of place”, creating an intimate connection with the territory, thanks to the precious contribution of great Florentine master craftsmen.

The Bronzetto’s creations, as well as all those of the other artisans involved, reflect the mood chosen by combining the elegant Italian style with a contemporary design but enriched by refined details, a collection of specially designed furnishing elements and original art objects. In particular, for the Presidential Suite, with its intriguing and seductive atmosphere, Bronzetto’s laboratory has tailor-made the sophisticated and original brass table lamps, designed by the client, in respect of the brass processing tradition.

With the tailor-made service IN BOTTEGA, Bronzetto is able to produce high quality customized products in brass and bronze thanks to the manual skills of its expert craftsmen and to the new technologies it uses for the development of the product from the prototype to the final product. The gray tones of the presidential suite blend perfectly with all the other elements highlighting the glitter of mirrors and natural brass that recurs in all 100 square meters of the room: from the table lamps, to the inserts of the cabinet doors, cupboard and doors handles, canopy bed frame.

Classic pieces that recall the atmosphere of the elegant buildings of the center of Florence are instead the three-light chandeliers of the Luxury Foundry collection of Bronzetto, one of the florentine artisan excellences, elegant suspension with brass frame and hand-ground glass decorated with nature inspired patterns, stylized stars and the characteristic brass pine-cone a detail which is often found in the Luxury Foundry collection products. Classic product of Il Bronzetto brand are the Brera line brass handles, chiseled to give an even more accentuated touch of elegance to the wonderful wooden doors of the Presidential suite. Attention to detail together with the care and craftsmanship have restored the hotel to all its splendor.
