Every two years, the appointment with Light + Building returns. The International Light Fair reopened its doors last March, and the motto of this edition was “Be electrified“, with three main themes (sustainability, connectivity and work+living) that highlighted the essential needs in life, work and mobility in the world of tomorrow.
Giada System attended with a technological flavoured large stand and a new concept that took up the Euroluce 2023 one for communication continuity. An 85-inch maxi-monitor broadcasted the demonstration videos showing many possible applications. Five primary modules (mains voltage module, low voltage module with current output, low voltage output module, DALI module and wi fi button) were exposed inside a 2-meter bulletin board. The DALI module and the wi-fi button are the novelties of the moment, presented for the first time at the fair in Frankfurt.
Giada System’s innovative DALI module can be managed as a single lamp. An approach in great demand outside the home for more articulated and extensive lighting systems, as in the office or hospitality. When sending a “turn off”, “on”, or “dim” command, the new module interfaces directly with the existing DALI connection and transmits the input to all networked lamps. DALI Giada System is self-powered, i.e. the power supply is plugged directly into the master board. The module works at mains voltage, ensuring stability and flexibility to the system. In addition, the device has tiny dimensions (47×47 mm), allowing a simple and agile placeability. At Light + Building, was presented the module for non-dynamic white light management, while the dynamic white version will soon follow. The DALI Giada System interface sends the broadcast command to the individual drivers. That allows simplified and intuitive control and management of the system, even the most complex. And, as in all Giada systems, the modules and their buttons are easily configured and managed via the App.
The push-button management module is also an absolute novelty by Giada System: once configured via the App, it is possible to control the lights switch on and off. A convenient and functional mode, particularly for systems having multiple light lines, as in offices. In addition, the physicality of the button gives the possibility of immediate and effective control. The management command is sent via wi-fi, which sends a unique and timely message to the individual devices.
