Massimo Castagna shapes a fluid and extroverted piece of furniture through an innovative glass fusion process
After the success achieved during Milan Design Week, Bow is finally available: the latest novelty designed by Massimo Castagna for Tonelli Design, an icon of glass for high-end furniture that has always offered solutions that combine aesthetic beauty and practicality.
The art director of Tonelli Design once again interprets, in a modern and sophisticated way, the concept of craftsmanship to give life to a piece of furniture with a strong character and sculptural aesthetic. In this dining table, the elegant and contemporary lines of the tops are combined with the base with the geometric volume in fused glass, creating a perfect and original balance of shapes. The contrast of the finishes between the top and the base generates an authentic and harmonious material encounter. The care of the metal connecting elements of the base makes them unique and refined details.
Aesthetic, beauty, and technology: Bow is all this and much more, making its unique casting technique. Tonelli Design has developed this table through a high-temperature manufacturing process that gives life to a material which tells about the dialogue between craftsmanship and modern research. T-Squares and T-Stripes are textures imprinted deep into the glass sheet, which thus takes on a dense and sinuous visual appearance.
It is a table with a rectangular, shaped or elliptical tempered glass top, available in extra clear, smoked or bronze finishes, fixed to the base by steel plates. The central base is made of vertical elements in fused glass, in the T-Squares and T-Stripes variants, with smoked or bronze finish. The base metal elements are in a matt-black finish. The height-adjustable feet, hidden under the base, allow perfect table levelling.
The new 2024 collection is the evolution, the consistent follow-up, of a path taken several years ago that renews and increases the history of the Tonelli brand and its original vocation for design.
