Offer the luxury of simplicity. It is with this concept that we could summarize the philosophy of “Giallo e le spezie delle Dolomiti” (Yellow and the spices of the Dolomites), a recently opened accommodation facility in Pieve di Cadore, in the Belluno Dolomiti mountains. A contemporary inn which aims to offer its guests the in-nature full-immersion experience, with particular reference to the flowers, aromas and herbs of the most beautiful and famous mountains in the world, so much so that they have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The common thread – inside and outside the structure – is the natural elements that make Alpine territory unique. Hence the name of the rooms – Ribes, Gentianella, Nigritella, to name a few – and the library in the bistrò which includes a selection of mountain, cooking and spice books from the 8 “Alpine” states: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Switzerland and Hungary. The “Vis salus” Wellness Center offers two saunas overlooking the solarium with a large windows panoramic veranda on the internal greenhouse of the Spices, with the Hortus of officinal, spices from the Dolomites and Mediterranean plants. The love for this land shines through every element.

The structure, built by Rubner to a design by architect Manlio Olivotto, could only be a bio-architecture complex in wood with renewable energy sources powered by biomass and photovoltaics. Wood – the natural building element par excellence – is used for every possible use: structure, coverings, furnishings and chandeliers, too. Among this noble material stands out a detail making the difference: the Vimar Arké series contemporary design. In the Classic version, with rational geometry, linear profile and sharp angles, this series strips itself of any decoration, thus defining a new energy model.

In this case, the material is metal with a Polar total look finish, worked with the typical attention to finishes of Vimar’s unmistakable style, and treated with eco-friendly processes. Designed in the present for the future, Arké fits perfectly into this context where simplicity is the real added value. Surrounded by the front plates, buttons and controls – characterized by a pleasant double curvature – blend perfectly with the sobriety of the light tones of the larch wood walls, creating a combination that further enhances the space surrounding them. In addition to their design, Vimar devices allow the users to precisely control and manage lighting and electricity while ensuring functionality and comfort. For example, in the rooms, including the suite with a panoramic view of the entire valley, the wide range of sockets – starting with those specific for razors, positioned in the bathrooms – meets every type of functional need.

Bistrò, library, conference room or the large furnished panoramic terrace with magnificent views of the lake and the Dolomites of Centro Cadore valley: in any space, guests decide to spend their time, a Vimar device is ready to provide them with fast and safe access to electricity, in the name of Made-in-Italy design and technology.
