The intelligent drive-over profile

16 September 2021

Simple, sophisticated and linear: Tago is the new LED profile from L&L Luce&Light with built-in power supply that’s drive-over up to 2000 kg

Conceived and designed entirely in-house by L&L Luce&Light’s R&D team, the fixture is intended for the sector of architectural lighting for urban facades such as historic and public buildings, hotels and residential exteriors. In terms of aesthetics, Tago’s dimensions can vary – with a body in Anticorodal® low-copper-content aluminium for excellent heat dissipation, it is available in three lengths: 30, 50 and 100cm approx., and three configurations: recessed flush for a minimalist look, recessed with rebated frame, or surface mounted using brackets with two pivot points.

Tago’s screen in up-to-10-mm-thick, high-transmittance, transparent, tempered extra-clear glass, with grey vitrified serigraphy, guarantees chromatic uniformity and excellent resistance to knocks and scratches (IK09). For the first time, the company has added 2200K white light as standard to the usual colour temperatures of 4000K, 3000K, 2700K. A very wide range of deep-set optics – including elliptical, wall washer and wall grazing – is available, providing unparalleled visual comfort. Tago also has a tilting system inside the optical unit that allows the light direction to be altered by ± 20° externally with a simple adjustment on the end caps, without compromising the fixture’s IP65 / IP67 protection level.

A series of anti-glare accessories, including honeycomb louvre and anti-glare shield, are mounted directly on the optical system. In the recessed versions, this means the accessory can be tilted together with the optics. The light output can be controlled using DALI or 0/1-10V, while the in/out connection has been designed to enable the profiles to be wired together in a line. Tago has two built-in protection systems: the IPS (Intelligent Protection System), patented by L&L, protects the lighting fixture from water ingress, which can occur if there are faulty junctions between the cables in outdoor or underwater applications; the PID (Protective Impedance Device) protects the fixture from electrical phenomena external to the system, such as static electricity accumulation or electromagnetic interference coming from the mains power.
