Khatod and Arquiled illuminate the Estadio Libertadores de América

The project to illuminate the Estadio Libertadores de América, the legendary stadium of Avellaneda, a port city of in the province of Buenos Aires – Argentine, the matches of Atlético Independiente.

 

The prestigious Club Altetico Independiente will host its 50,655 fans (and their opponents) under the lights of an important intelligent system integrating 5 different tailored optics, exclusively developed for the client. Why commit Khatod with the study of optics and lenses? Because starting from 2022 the South American Confederación de Fútbol, also known as “Conmebol”, will require a minimum of 1,300 lux on the field, thus raising the lighting systems’ required standards for Argentine stadiums.

 

Arena, Khatod’s high-tech reflector for large areas illumination

Arena is Khatod’s new family of high-tech reflectors designed for the lighting of large areas, specially designed for indoor and outdoor sport structures and environments. Available in 5 models, square (145 mm x 145 mm) they consist of an array composed of 48 reflectors with a 2mm pitch. They perform a variety of NEMA Beam Angle Types, from a super Narrow Beam (8°, NEMA 2) to Ultra Wide Beam (70°, NEMA 5) beside an outstanding asymmetrical beam (NEMA 5×6). Made of PC HT Black with an aluminium reflective coating, the reflectors perfectly work within a temperature range -40° to ~90°C.

ARENA reflectors are optimized for the well-known 3535 LED with dome and designed to perform high lighting efficiency, excellent luminescent flow and excellent glare control. ARENA products are also available with optional covers made of transparent PC to ensure shock protection and provided with a silicone gasket for IP protection. They can be used in single blocks or configured in multiple parts to produce the perfect lighting fixture for each purpose (high-bay, light towers, warehouses).
