At the first edition of the Interzum Forum Italy event, which took place on 6 and 7 June 2024 in Bergamo, Scilm’s Prima Base was awarded in the “Innovation” category. The 4,820 visitors from 52 countries were able to see and touch the new Scilm product, designed to replace the mobile base in particularly technical realizations, such as furniture with flush-to-top extractor hoods, refrigerators, water treatment systems and island or peninsula furniture.
More and more often, equipment or appliances are in the bases of kitchen cabinets that require special applications and processes for housing. To meet this need, Scilm has developed a furniture base allowing freedom in the applications. The innovative system eliminates the need for traditional processing on the furniture to create the space necessary for installation. Prima Base is entirely made of aluminium and welding assembled, is empty in the centre and has an adjustable back that allows the user to house all the power supply systems, ensuring the correct ventilation necessary for the proper appliances functioning and ease of assembly, cleaning and maintenance.
Prima base is available with plugs inserted according to the customer’s specifications and designed to house the typical feet. Upon request, Prima base can be closed at the top with a sturdy aluminium solution or with under-sink protections listed in the Scilm and Euro Orvel catalogues. To complete Prima Base, two manually adjustable catenaries allow the cabinet to be closed at the rear to the desired depth, making maintenance and cleaning easy. These two catenaries can also not combine with the base.
