“Our task is to try to save beauty,” wrote Philippe Daverio in one of his art history lectures. Witness to this priceless legacy is Pelizzari Studio – a well-known architectural firm that since 1991 has been creating tailor-made projects in the residential, Contract, Hospitality and Retail sectors – through the new project “ARIA DI FAMIGLIA”, a capillary architectural recovery intervention for a splendid villa dating back to the early ‘900 in the heart of Brescia.
The in-depth know-how of the team and the proven expertise demonstrated in conservative restoration in the fields of architecture and interior design have made it possible to create a residence with a contemporary design immersed in silence and greenery, which integrates cutting-edge architectural solutions with the context.
The project studied through a skilful reinterpretation of the functions, sees the creation of a series of curious solutions such as the small guest bathroom obtained from the basement of the stairs in the entrance, to which is added the division of the internal walls with missing or never existing frames and pilasters, for a scenic apparatus with a distinctive aesthetic taste.
The common thread of the project is the construction of a bourgeois narrative, never predictable, punctuated by unusual accents that affect the architectural design score: a story that is tangible as soon as you cross the entrance. The scenic staircase and high frescoed ceiling of the residence, combined with the majesty of its three floors, are a sumptuous invitation to explore.
To enhance the walls, the selection of old revisited wallpapers that redesign the profiles, transforming them into large and scenic backdrops. In the dining area, delicate and round avio and black colours stand out, which dialogue harmoniously with the pair of containers with water-coloured bevelled wood doors and lead the gaze towards the large table with an irregular top in Calacatta Gold marble. The doors, repainted in the explosive peacock shade, are embellished with new etched brass handles by Pelizzari Studio.
A lovely dialogue between eras, an embrace between worlds, is what Pelizzari Studio operates in the new project Aria di Famiglia, masterfully blending the design of bookcases, small containers of modern antiques, 50s appliques and soft light lamps with sophisticated sculptural details and works of art that run through history and accompany the viewer on a fascinating journey through the centuries.
