ITALAMP, an historic company in the Made in Italy lighting sector that since 1975 has interpreted the light in an unprecedented way with high-end creations for the home and contract sectors, has once again distinguished with an extraordinary project. The stage is a magnificent villa in the Algarve, Portugal, where the company was chosen to interpret with an extraordinarily scenic product the lighting of the building’s central corridor, the junction between the living and kitchen areas and the sleeping spaces.
From an architectural point of view, the luxury residence presents itself as an entirely white, compact and ultra-minimal geometric building, devoted to light and designed in perfect continuity with the surrounding nature. A series of full-height sliding glass windows emphasise the fluidity of the spaces, allowing the various sections of the villa to integrate perfectly with the pool area, the zen garden and the various semi-covered patios that define the building’s composition.
Portuguese interior designer Ines Fraga was commissioned to create the full interior design of this minimalist villa, with a special focus on the entrance where she infused classic Italian lighting as per the client’s preference. Her design concept transforms the entrance into a striking, jewel-like feature that seamlessly blends traditional elegance with modern simplicity, setting a breath-taking tone for the entire property. In this total white setting, with no other decorative light points, the ITALAMP masterpiece bursts like a shout to art. The majestic ceiling light enchants with its timeless elegance and ability to transform spaces with an enveloping and evocative light. The authentic sculpture, created with 130 gold-coloured glass leaves, boasts a diameter of over 2 metres and is part of the prestigious Heritage range that includes timeless collections that are perfect for interpreting the most current interior trends.
What makes the aesthetic impact even more striking is the special way in which it is attached to the ceiling, it gives an unexpected three-dimensionality and dynamism to the composition.
This new project once again confirms ITALAMP’s commitment to offering solutions of the highest quality for the most exclusive residential as well as contract fields, through the perfect combination of craftsmanship and design.
