BTicino on display at Milan Design Week 2024
After last year’s record-breaking edition, which brought more than 300,000 visitors to Milan, BTicino is back to be the protagonist at Milan Design Week. The company has been involved in two initiatives this year: the “Punta in Alto” event of Casa Facile with the guided tour of the houses of the Before&After and the BTicino Smart Apartment.
On the occasion of the “Punta in Alto” event, there were guided tours of the houses featured in the Before&After events open to the public during Design Week. It consisted of four apartments set up with BTicino products, where visitors could learn the techniques to multiply spaces, give personality, and choose colours and furnishings by mixing different styles. In particular, one of these homes was smartened by BTicino technicians in just one day, starting from a traditional system: a way to demonstrate how simple and economically sustainable this transformation is.
Among the interventions carried out, the circuit breakers of the electrical panel have been replaced with connected modules to manage and control all the consumption of the system. Traditional switches and sockets have given way to smart Living Now, radiators equipped with Netatmo smart Thermo valves, and a gateway installed to control the entire system from a smartphone. In this way, visitors could test the intelligent control of lights, sockets, consumption and temperature control.
In the BTicino Smart Apartment, housed in the spaces of Archiproducts Milano, which this year presented “Aqua”, a design exploration” curated by Studiopepe, but where is also possible to discover the company’s entire offer. The guided tour allows experiencing a true “smart” home in which can be controlled lights, automation, sockets, temperature and video intercom on-site or remotely via App or Amazon, Google, and Apple voice assistants. The intuitive technology allows the user to transform a traditional system into a smart one without masonry work or changing typical installation habits.
Continuing the visit, in Rooms 10, 13 and 14, the electrical system is dressed by Art D’Arnould, a collection by BTicino-Gruppo Legrand dedicated to interior projects that are particular from a technological point of view and with a high level of aesthetic customization. Art D’Arnould is a proposal made entirely by hand, compatible with all the electrical system functions and all home automation properties. A distinctive line declined in four aesthetics, in which the design, material, finishes and details are customizable, thanks to a dedicated work team, which can respond to the expressive needs of each project, even those located in particular historical contexts.
