AlbaComponents: new 2023 collections

19 September 2023

Last May saw the return of Albacomponents to Interzum2023, with new collections: Genesi, Gemma, Lemon, Xylo and Duo were showcased within a display space featuring conceptual and ideal settings, devised to enhance the dialogue between the product, the setting surrounding it and the people using it

Alongside these, Albacomponents also exhibited a selection of all-new collections launched over the course of 2022. An extensive and complete range, with products capable of meeting the requirements of numerous settings, from office to community and waiting areas, right through to food courts and outdoors areas.

Genesi, designed by Emanuele Bertolini, is an organic seating system which champions versatility of usage. It offers dozens of possible combinations by combining frames and bases, seat shells and backrests, and accessories, ensuring a furnishing element that’s ideal for office, conference and community settings. The whole range boasts an ergonomic and functional design, assembled entirely without the use of screws, and enhanced product comfort and practicality, enabling the use of different materials solutions for the seat shells and backrests.

The Gemma seat, designed by Stefano Bettio, offers enhanced stackability and a pleasing, essential design, characterised by the presence of strong, grooved lines that embellish the single shell in technopolymer. Gemma makes an ideal seat for furnishing conference halls and meeting rooms as well as many other settings. The vast selection of frames and bases in the seat and stool versions, the range of accessories, and a selection of tasteful, on-trend colours, make the Gemma collection the perfect choice to also use in a range of mixed and varied contexts, ranging from public spaces to home settings.

Lemon is the new collection developed by the design duo Pio Toso and Tito Toso for outdoor settings. The design of the seat and stool versions features a distinctive slatted shell in technopolymer, which is attached to the frame without any visible screws. Lemon chairs are available in six colours: a selection of tones that range from classic black to more natural shades of mustard yellow and sage green. In addition to seating, the collection also includes a range of tables in various shapes, sizes and colours, all of which feature an eye-catching three-legged structure, and all available in a version with a folding top.

Stefano Bettio also designed Xylo, the new seating collection featuring a wooden shell in either beach or oak, which sits atop a varied selection of metal bases, from the classic four-legged, a versatile trestle base with castors, right through to a bench version. Xylo is also available in a stool version with a dedicated shell with a low backrest. The interplay between wood and metal lends a timelessness to the Xylo seating collection, ensuring it can grace any setting with ease, from catering areas to domestic contexts.

The collaboration with Stefano Bettio continues with Duo, a new leg that complements and enriches Tipper, the collection of tables with folding tops. Unlike the all-metal legs available for Tipper, Duo is crafted from metal and technopolymer. Employing this combination of materials has enabled the creation of a durable, lightweight leg featuring essential, compact lines. Duo is available in two sizes and in the collection’s classic colours: white, black, grey and chromed.

The experience at Interzum has served to kick off a dynamic second half of the year for the Veneto-based business, and a 2024 set to be rich with new ideas, both at the product level thanks to the launch of new collections, and at the perception and customer experience level with the creation of the new company showroom.
