GEWISS and PERFORMANCE IN LIGHTING are glad to announce the agreement for the official entry into the GEWISS Group of the historic leading company in the international lighting sector.

The project will allow to expand mutual business opportunities, confirming the growth path undertaken by GEWISS through the acquisition of new market shares in a strategic sector, with PERFORMANCE IN LIGHTING as fundamental asset for lighting.

As Fabio Bosatelli, President of GEWISS and controlled holding POLIFIN explains, “Today, we are giving further concreteness to the development path of our company. We are glad that this important step takes place with the acquisition of a historic and prestigious company such as Performance In Lighting, which over the years has been able to gain recognition on the markets in which it operates. For GEWISS this is a growth path that takes place in the lighting sector, but which confirms us as protagonists also in the other business units of our offer, as demonstrated last week with the launch of the new range of switches for residential use, CHORUSMART, an important technological evolution for the management and control of homes and buildings. This passage supports even more GEWISS ‘s engagement in the development of solutions for the smart home, e-mobility, lighting and systems for the protection and distribution of energy, but also consolidates the POLIFIN Group, committed with COSTIM in the real estate development of CHORUS LIFE, a replicable new urban regeneration model which integrates all those solutions to meet the needs of safety, comfort and with a strong attention to sustainability “.

Giorgio Lodi, President of Performance iN Lighting states: “With great pride I can say that our entry into an important Italian group such as GEWISS allows Performance iN Lighting to significantly strengthen its growth potential. We are both Italian groups with a strong vocation to internationalization and this union lays the foundations for a new present and shared future“.

With the entry of Performance In Lighting“, adds Paolo Cervini, CEO of GEWISS, “a new Group is born, even more solid in its dimensions, with a turnover that exceeds 600 million Euros, and an even stronger value proposition, which is boosted with increasingly innovative and connected solutions for lighting and smart lighting. This growth extends our supply capacity in the lighting sector but also guarantees greater penetration in international markets, where Performance In Lighting has built and consolidated its presence over the years. We are convinced that this new dimension expresses a new phase for the company, which is also growing in the number of collaborators: today more than 500 new employees are on board, in addition to the 1,700 of GEWISS“.
