A project that allowed Reisarchitettura studio to win the Special In/Architettura 2020 Award, assigned by Vimar to the best national project
In the Apulian countryside, a project by the architect Nicola Isetta has created a refuge surrounded by greenery, designed for the work and relaxation of a cosmopolitan couple and therefore smart and connected. Particularly attentive to the needs of architects and the trends of modern living, Vimar, with the support of the In Arch 2020 Award, wanted to offer a further stimulus to professionals so that the electrical system and Home and Building automation systems are born as an integral part of the architectural project and not as a subsequent complement.
This house, in particular, was awarded for its ability to reinterpret the traditional forms and materials of the rural Apulian architecture in a contemporary key, integrating them into the surrounding landscape while using the most sophisticated technology. The finishing materials chosen are the traditional ones of Puglia, made contemporary by the architectural detail: dry stone and lime plaster for the walls, minimal windows in oak wood, Apricena stone in slabs for the floors. Inside, a smooth concrete floor for the living area and wood for the sleeping area. The furnishing is tastefully chosen among the best Made in Italy brands. So as the devices that make up the electrical and home automation system.
Vimar technology was chosen to allow owners – often away from home or on business trips – to control the home remotely, easily and safely with a home automation system. By means of a webserver, several independent functions can be operated using a single device: the smartphone. A convenience that makes the difference and allows, for example, to monitor accesses and answer the video intercom, but also supervises the security and alarm systems, lights and, last but not least, the air conditioning.
Particular attention to energy saving: an integrated system was created with a heat pump, solar panels, photovoltaic, charging point for electric cars and consumption monitoring for total energy autonomy. Interpreters of universal elegance, the Eikon Evo plates in total white aluminium represent a tribute to the beauty of the shapes, the quality of the finishes, and technological intelligence. Devices with an impeccable, light and minimal silhouette, protruding from the wall by a few millimetres and seen in profile become an almost unnoticeable presence, with a delicate charm. The result of these choices is a perfectly successful mix of technology, contemporary style and tradition.
