Many styles, many sectors: BERICA S, our new suspended fixture

27 June 2022

Berica S, the new suspended fixture from L&L Luce&Light is defined by a minimalist design and contemporary style. Thanks to the option of elliptical optics, it is the perfect choice for lighting display counters in the retail sector; conference rooms and desks in offices; reception desks in the hospitality sector; and dining tables in private homes. The Berica family has grown: the new arrival is a suspended version that can be teamed with the existing range of indoor wall-mounted fixtures for a coordinated look. Like the other family members, it combines a pared-down design with a built-in power supply.

The suspended fixture is available in three sizes – in the standard lengths of 620 mm, 1180 mm and 1740 mm, but with an extremely reduced thickness (as little as 32mm) and three different styles of cover: convex, concave and flat. The four elegant and refined finishes – white, antique white, antique bronze and matt aluminium grey – are augmented by an optional RAL version and one with a primer coating. This treatment allows the cover to be finished in the same paint – or wallpaper – as the walls around it, so that the lighting fixture can be perfectly integrated into its surroundings.

The lamp has a double-beam output, emitting light both downwards and upwards and providing a comfortable, uniform and intelligent illumination of the space. There is a choice of three optics for the lower beam (two elliptical, 44°x90°and 58°x99°, and one diffuse), while the upper output is always diffuse. The entire range uses light sources with a colour temperature of 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, and a high colour rendering index (CRI >90), which means optimum fidelity in the colours of the objects being lit, something that is particularly important in retail settings.

Berica S is available in an ON/OFF version, and a dimmable version that uses the DALI protocol.

The fixture can be requested in customized lengths and with a single output.
