Selène illuminazione, given its Venetian roots and the passion for craftsmanship, participated this year to the Venice Design Week (VDW), a festival dedicated to design held in the city of Venice, every October since 2010 that includes many experiences. For a week, in fact, the lagoon of Venice comes alive with exhibitions and workshops of established and emerging designers, international companies, artisans, architects and a curious and passionate public.
Some Selène’s lamps were hosted in the Ca ‘Nigra Lagoon Resort, the former home of a refined XIX century collector, today a beautiful Boutique Hotel with a unique style, which elegantly blends original elements of the Venetian XVIII century, modern design and influences of refined oriental antiques. In this setting they have presented (following the pictures order) the Nebraska floor lamp in recovered wood and metal, the blown glass lamps Clessidra (picture 2 – left), Costa Rica (on the right in picture 2 – right) and Origami, as well as the metal and glass lamps Guazza and Ampolla.
From the Ampolla collection, as there is a beautiful garden directly overlooking the Grand Canal, it has been installed the Wireless table lamp that is rechargeable like a powerbank and that follows you and sheds light wherever you want without having an electric cable.
