Digital entrepreneur, the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s latest worldwide perfume campaign, first place winner in the category of “Retail E-Commerce” for Forbes 30under30, the world’s first influencer in men’s fashion, with over 6 million followers, and perhaps the eighth most handsome man in the world. To say the least, Mariano di Vaio is very, very famous. The young digital entrepreneur’s company Nohow has a staff of 50 people, between personnel and collaborators; located in Perugia, Umbria, Italy, the company has upped earnings by 70% since 2017.
The fashion influencer chose Slamp to illuminate the new MDV Group offices, inaugurated January 31, 2020. A veritable display of art and design branded “Made in Italy”, the space was curated by Studio Mapa Architetti, who selected Slamp’s aesthetic and lighting know-how to create the vivacious background fit for creative energy. The street style of New York, where Di Vaio studied and worked as a model, meets inimitable Italian style: a little slice of California immersed in the lush Umbrian countryside. The young, flirty furnishing has the fresh breath of an American startup, perfect for the spacious areas where people meet, ideate, and create innovative fashion design. The new interior has 170 Slamp lamps: a dramatic installation of Lorenza Bozzoli’s Atmosfera in the stairwell, Hugo suspensions above every desk (the lamp conforms to the UNI-EN 14464 normative for office lighting), and Miguel Arruda’s illuminated ceiling Nuvem, floating above the hallways and recreation room. Not to mention Liza, Overlay, Aria, Diamond, Moon, Drusa…the list goes on. Both companies, MDV and Slamp, are working together to promote sustainability, both train young talent (under 30), both feed off of creative energy and positivity, and know the real meaning of “Italian, beautiful and well made”.
